The History and Philosophy of the Bureau

Over the years, Fedorova Architects has gone through various stages, seen changes in its team composition, experienced both setbacks and successes, navigated all manner of situations, and accumulated a wealth of experience. Drawing a parallel between our firm’s age and the human life cycle, we can say that we have come of age. This means that global changes in our world order are inevitable: changes within the team, its expansion, a redistribution of areas of responsibility and employee roles, the introduction of new formats for collaboration with one another and with clients, and modern working principles. For many years, we have intuitively changed the rules in the market and within the firm. And, it would seem, we should have already found the perfect formula. But now, standing at this turning point, we realize: the most interesting part is just beginning.

My path to success — from “nothing” to recognition and personal fulfillment. At age 20, I joined a large architectural firm, ready to take on any assignment and learn the ins and outs of the job on my own. Long days from 9 a.m. to midnight, juggling work and school, fears, and starting from scratch three times toughened me up and prepared me to strike out on my own, take on my own projects, and open my own firm. The meaning lies not in the destination, but in the journey: observing how ideas are born, live, and transform; seeing their trends and understanding what becomes outdated — this is the true value of creativity. My views have evolved: the concept of OUT OF TIME became WARM STRUCTURE SPACE — architecture without rigidity, with warmth, a balance of form, and living materials.

It didn’t take me long to come around to the idea of educating people about architecture and design. I used to think that by revealing professional “secrets” we would lose our uniqueness. But over time, I realized that value lies not in knowledge, but in vision and intuition — things that can’t be taught directly. Instead, we can provide tools that help unlock potential. The more skilled professionals there are around, the higher the standard of architecture. I share not only my successes but also my mistakes — something I myself once lacked. For me, this is an important mission: to help people and see the results.

Fedorova ELEMENTS is a natural extension of Fedorova Architects’ long-standing commitment to creating holistic and harmonious living spaces. It is a space with a distinctive, recognizable style that we call a timeless interior. For many years, we have been creating for our clients an oasis of absolute peace and inner tranquility — their home.

The spaces we created gradually filled with our signature details, which I call “elements.” We’ve brought them together into a collection of furniture and accessories for those who share our values.
